Look, I’m sorry, but the “cool motive, still murder” gif is honestly the most boring addition to any conversation about most genres of fiction.  It stops any and all discussion of nuance, larger themes, motivation, characterization, etc.  It also makes no fucking sense because, for most things that are sci-fi/ superhero /fantasy/ action/ etc…..

THE FUCKING HEROES MURDER PEOPLE TOO.
