The way they just said lesbian like it’s no big deal, like it wasn’t dirty or overtly sexual was so beautiful. They didn’t try to skirt around it and say “gay” or “likes girls.” They called Anissa a lesbian because she is one and she knows who she is, and her family and friends love her so damn much.
