You know what always gets me about the anti self-dx’ers?

Since a ton of people already proved that doctors aren’t infallible (even though they do their best to ignore the facts) their only ever argument is “Those are all just little kids on tumblr who want to be special”.

Okay, let’s humor that statement. Where is that kid? Show me.
Show me ONE of your “special snowflakes”(*) that claims they’re autistic, show me to them and PROVE that they’re NT. PROVE to me that they’re not autistic or have ADHD or a mental illness or don’t struggle.
Spoiler: You can’t.

Oh and about “they just want to be special”.
Let me quote my professor for clinical psychology here, since you like professional opinions so much:
“The fact that someone is looking for help excludes the possibility of everything being fine.” (**)

We don’t know if a self-dx autistic really fits the criteria. Maybe they’re schizo-spec or have ADHD or another highly comorbid and overlapping condition.
It doesn’t matter. The difference is that we choose not to be dicks to people for just trying to get help they can’t get anywhere else.

I’m baffled I have to spell this out, but Bullying is shitty regardless of your reasons. Do everyone a favor and log off until you have learned basic human decency.
