I wonder how much of what gets termed “Millennial humor” is really just “weird people humor” with the difference being that it’s easier for weird people to get a following without censorship because the internet has enabled and incentivized distribution that bypasses traditional media companies.

I mean this seems like stereotypical Millennial humor but it was created by someone from Gen X and made when Millennials were in grade school or younger. It just happened to get on TV when there were probably 1000′s of other weird things that didn’t.
