man whoever wrote the player’s handbook really missed out on a comedy goldmine by making elves reach physical maturity at the same time as humans. like come on guys, we could have had elves who suffer through puberty over the course of several decades. like i’m just picturing a 60 year old elf listening to the d&d equivalent of 21 pilots and writing shitty poetry in their diaries and crying while they jerk off into a sock. and having their awkward teenager phase for decades. it would have been glorious. but noooo, we had to make sure that elves were “dignified” and shit.
