I think blaming teenagers for talking shit about adults in fandom is kind of victim-blamey. They’re minors and often don’t have that great of experiences with adults so they’re going to do that. I remember not liking the adults in fandom when I was a teenager because they often acted smug about being older. It’s…common. Adults should act like adults and leave them alone/not take it personally. Blame society for their go-to response to adults they don’t like being “shouldn’t you be popping out babies and kitting??? lmao” because the sexism associated with that will bite them in the ass later.
