There’s labor exploitation happening. There’s political corruption happening. There’s fascism happening. There are hate crimes happening. There are all manner of horrible things happening to real people in the real world.

But no, people writing about bad things are the real problem!

You see, acknowledging and combatting those things takes actual effort and a willingness to interact with scary people. People writing about bad things is the safe option, so of course it’s what people on tumboblr.hell are going to choose to fight.

I don’t think it was your intention but it might be better to phrase that in a way that doesn’t suggest people who don’t confront fascists directly because of safety reasons are cowards @anti-anti-survivor

I think there might be some confusion in that some of the context is left out of the original post unless you look at the tags. It’s about fandom wankery and people attacking other people for writing about abuse of various types happening to fictional characters, not about people choosing to combat fascism indirectly.

And my post was being sarcastic about how, for many people, it’s easier to pretend they’re confronting their own demons by attacking other people on the internet than actually going and doing something meaningful with their activism .

Without the context of OP’s tags, I can certainly see how that’s confusing, so I’m going to edit my post to make it a little clearer and hopefully avoid that sort of confusion.
