dark fantasy – what’s the edgiest or most grimdark story trope you secretly love?
I really love characters that are not like ordinary humans but are similar enough that they are forced to blend into the human world (like Bernard Lowe or Julian Bashir). Part of that means the whole trope of either being discovered and forced to undergo experimentation or just the fear of it happening. It’s a well of angst.
