the weirdest thing about westworld to me is that the hosts are given loops even when there’s no guests around. like they just go do things even if no one is around to see it. like why does maeve and her daughter do things when they’re out in the middle of no where alone with no one to interact with. why aren’t they just all on sleep mode until they sense someone is close?

It’s a common thing for video game characters to do as well and I think it’s so that their interactions with players are more natural looking. Also the reason they interact when there’s no guests around is so that they can practice their scripts on one another. Bernard said so last season.
