The problem with reblogging something by a blog called “zoompie” is i keep thinking it’s that one troll with a very similar name and doing double takes when i check my activity
Tonight I have something to offer that’s not art…it’s a lovely story. The story of the worst thing I have ever taken part in creating.
So!! Back at the beginning of the second semester of AP Calculus we were taking our first quiz on intergrals, and my teacher told us that he wanted to see the big “S” on our quiz or else we wouldn’t get credit.
Now, by big “S” of course he meant the integral symbol, like this:
But the integral symbol is not the first thing my gremlin brain thinks of when I hear “the big S” and then I got a horrible idea, which I then proceeded to draw and show to my Calc teacher…
It has been dubbed the Cursed Integral by my class and my teacher hates it with all of his being
@somerandomchoice and I brainstormed the hell out of an AU where the Discovery characters are in the Deep Space Nine storyline. I haven’t been writing much lately but I am so so so into it. Just imagine: Paul and Hugh on DS9, Paul as a civilian scientist attached to a Bajoran university (who never joins Starfleet), Hugh as the second-in-command in the infirmary (he should be running the place, you know, but getting posted on a station anywhere was the only way he and Paul could be together, and Bashir needed the help). Many other Disco favorites are on a science ship that regularly works in the area, headed by Captain Burnham. (Personally I would be fine if Lorca doesn’t exist in this AU at all.)
Can’t you just imagine Paul and Nerys teaming up to chew out Dukat for some BS? Or Hugh attempting to rein in his overenthusiastic puppy boss with a penchant for pining after unavailable women? What would Hugh and Paul think about the interaction between Bashir and Garak?
SO MANY POSSIBILITIES
Here is the first draft of the first scene of what might be a story, I dunno. It takes place prior to S3E6, The Abandoned:
