ya ever run into a fascist/nazi blog and don’t know what to do? well, you need only remember one thing! bop ‘em!

Block them! Don’t argue, don’t talk to, don’t deal with it at all. If they’re being forthcoming about being a fascist, then you’re not going to change their mind on a web site, you’re just giving them free advertising and exposing your followers to hateful speech.

Oust them! Kick them out of your communities! Kick them out of your businesses! Do not give them platforms, do not give them the ability to preach their hate.

Punch them! Right in the fucking jaw.

So remember everyone! Dealing with a fascist piece of shit?

bop ‘em

The thing that’s both awful and extraordinarily wonderful is that we’ve all known that young men of the upper classes move through the world like bulls in a china shop, leaving traumatized people in their wake. And for generations, we’ve all moved through the world treating these young men like suburban coyotes: plan your path home to stay off their hunting grounds, leave quickly if you see a group because they are most dangerous in a pack, make yourself larger, wear protective clothing that probably doesn’t work, clean your wounds thoroughly. It’s just what they do, so just adapt.

Or maybe it’s lika a vampire movie, maybe it’s the reason we find horror stories so compelling. And maybe what’s joyful is that this is the first time in my life I’ve seen people fight back against a culture that had decided generations ago to sacrifice all our safety to enabling the youthful hijinks of monsters.

Forever wondering how many of the people saying “we should punch Nazis” actually talk about modern antisemitism or antiromanyism, ever. Cause it sort of feels like you only care about Jews and Roma when we’re dead

Romani people are being beaten up and killed in Eastern Europe right fucking NOW, but the only ones being outraged about this and talk about it, are Romani and Jews. Deafening silence from the rest of those anti Nazis out there. Makes me spit feathers…and exhausted 😡

Ok so I didn’t know about this issue until literally right now, so here’s some articles from the ERRC.

TW for: Anti-Romani racism, Fascism, Holocaust praise/parallels, Genocide, police brutality, murder and other forms of violence.

So there’s this one

And this specifically Italian one about Salvini

Oh and this one about the murder of a Greek Romani child

And Fascist massacres of Romani people in Ukraine.

These are all within the last month.

Mainstream international media is generally apathetic towards these issues, but please make an effort to keep yourself informed. People are dying.

Reblogging again with the info because I totally didn’t know until I saw this post too!

Aren’t Romani children being segregated in schools?? Segregation is still alive today and no one is saying anything about it

👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

Romani here!

There’s a LOT of dispicable things happening against the Roma now. Many Roma camps recently attacked in the Ukraine. Many of the murderers are getting off SCOTT FREE despite having killed Roma in Ukraine.

A list of other issues still going on, a lot of this is going on in Eastern Europe:

  • Forced Sterilization
  • Eviction
  • Harassment (by law enforcement as well as civilians)
  • Fingerprinting (this is happening in Italy right now – all Romani people are being fingerprinted, simply because our race is considered ‘criminal’)
  • Concentration camps
  • Starvation
  • Exclusion from public schools and welfare programs
  • School harassement from administration and teachers
  • Bombings (it is not uncommon in places like the Czech Republic for people to throw molotov cocktails into the windows of Romani homes)
  • In many areas it’s very much still illegal to employ Romani, which means they’re forced to be scam artists and thieves because how else are they going to put food on the table?

It’s also estimated that up to 50% of Romani living population in Europe were killed during the Holocaust, but ya know, hardly any memorials ever mention them and the big one in the USA I don’t think has any mention of them

I think it’s worth noting that Dianne Feinstein asked both James Comey and Terry Crews the same question at both their hearings and pointed out the hypocrisy of victim-blaming. Long post under the cut:

I think it’s important to note why she asked them both the same question regarding their size and strength–physical and moral:

  1. A person testifying cannot talk about why they did or did not do something unless they’re specifically asked about a subject.
  2. It gave them both the opportunity to shut down a victim-blaming line of questioning right away because she is asking to show how wrong it is to ask someone those kinds of question, where someone else on the senate panel would ask them as their real questions.
  3. It gave her the opportunity to highlight the ridiculousness and offensiveness of those kinds of questions, which she pointed out on her twitter:

In Terry Crews’ case, the issue of victim-blaming questioning is obviously wrong because he’s an actual sexual assault victim. In Comey’s case, the tones in his questions where present too–and not just from Feinstein, who had a point and purpose to her questions–which the media picked up on, too. (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7

James Comey is not a sexual assault victim, but he was a victim–of sorts–of a known sexual predator, a man known for abusing his power over people he sees as “below” him. I think it’s incredibly important what Dianne Feinstein does in these hearings with these questions. Here is what she achieves with that question:

  1. She is showing that abuse of power happens everywhere–in Hollywood and in government, in an office, at a school, anywhere that a someone abusive is in power.
  2. Men experiences various forms of assault, abuse, and harassment too!
  3. Being “big” or “tall” or “strong” does not mean people with those characteristics won’t be assaulted or harassed.
  4. Every victim’s story needs and deserves to be heard, and the abuser must face consequences for their actions.
  5. People with the power to make changes and to protect people–like senators!–need to stop shaming and blaming victims.
  6. HOLD PEOPLE IN POWER ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS!!!

Migrant children beaten, kicked and threatened with sexual abuse by Border Patrol, ACLU alleges

Migrant children under the care of United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) were allegedly beaten, threatened with sexual violence and repeatedly assaulted while in custody between 2009 and 2014, according to a report released Wednesday from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the International Human Rights Clinic at the University of Chicago Law School.

Based on 30,000 pages of documents obtained through a records request, the report includes gruesome, detailed accusations of physical and mental abuse at the hands of officers. The claims were filed by unaccompanied minors, most of whom hailed from El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and Honduras. CBP officials have contested large swaths of the report, telling Newsweek that many of the allegations have been investigated and are “false.”

Border authorities were accused of kicking a child in the ribs and forcing a 16-year-old girl to “spread her legs” for an aggressive body search. Other children accused officers of punching a child in the head three times, running over a 17-year-old boy and denying medical care to a pregnant teen, who later had a stillbirth.

Mitra Ebadolahi, ACLU Border Litigation Project staff attorney, said the allegations describe a law enforcement system “marked by brutality and lawlessness.” The organization also accused Border Protection officials of failing to “meaningfully investigate” the allegations detailed in the public records.

“All human beings deserve to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of their immigration status—and children, in particular, deserve special protection,” she said. “The misconduct demonstrated in these records is breathtaking, as is the government’s complete failure to hold officials who abuse their power accountable.”
