The promised/threatened podcast is coming into shape! I did a great interview with a guest tonight. What I’m going to do is combine that with just me talking for a few minutes about leftist cults and how to avoid them. I’ve been meaning to do a post on that for a while anyway.
OK I have it done! I’m going to publish it on Monday but would anyone like to listen to it before then and tell me if there are any horrible problems with it? If so let me know and I’ll give you the MP3 download link. It’s way longer than I thought it would be at an hour, but I underestimated how labor intensive it is to edit down audio.

I uploaded the first episode to libsyn and I’ll update here when it shows on iTunes and Stitcher and so on.
If things go well I’ll eventually set up a Patreon to cover the costs of the libsyn hosting (only $5 a month) plus the cost of doing transcripts, which I really need to be doing for Deaf/HOH folks. I can’t do that now, but if I can keep a regular podcast going, I’m going to commit to transcripts. I don’t ever want to run ads though… ugh, I hate them.
Medical practice in the US is so fucked up. Its so fucked up. I can’t have surgery until I pay my hospital bill in full. The quality of the rest of my life is completely dependent upon my having $1,502.66 on hand to pay for my estimated surgery cost. Tomorrow.
This coming directly after the specialist fee, which my insurance also only paid half of, leaving me to foot a $5,100 bill.
My savings are gone. I’ve had to ask family for help, and it is… It’s humiliating. And terrifying. I work retail. My savings, everything I managed to put away for the past year and a half (after my LAST life emergency destroyed my savings) is gone. Sure I’ll get paid next week and have $600 to my name. But that’s next week. And all of that is going to go back to paying back the people who have helped me in the past two weeks, minus rent. I’m fucking lucky I have a full time job and get PTO or else I would be completely and utterly fucked.
So yeah. That’s what’s up in my life right now. I… I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how this is supposed to work out. I’m about to have a major surgery and every moment leading up to it is just filled with paralyzing anxiety and a black cloud of revulsion for all of the begging I’ve had to do.
Hope is hard to come by. I’m trying. But I feel like sinking. And I am so afraid.

Alright the panic has gotten monumentally worse so now I’m begging strangers.

This generally indicates damage to the nervous system, which may result from a number of varying causes, including prosencephalon disease (in which the forebrain and thalamusparts of the brain are damaged), or toxic poisoning.
My elder cat had head pressing as one of her symptoms when she had toxoplasmosis. Many people, dogs and cats have this, and the vast majority never get sick, but when it arises as clinical disease, it usually presents as neurological problems and brain damage.

A nationwide recall has been issued for the birth control brand Taytulla due to a mistake that could lead to unintended pregnancies.
Parent company Allergan is recalling nearly 170,000 packs of the birth control that have been circulating since last August.
A normal 28-day pack of Taytulla contains 24 pink hormone pills followed by four maroon placebo pills that cause bleeding. But, in the packs being recalled, the placebo pills are at the beginning of the pack.
“As a result of this packaging error, oral contraceptive capsules, that are taken out of sequence, may place the user at risk for contraceptive failure and unintended pregnancy,” said a statement from Allergan.
“The reversing of the order may not be apparent to either new users or previous users of the product, increasing the likelihood of taking the capsules out of order.”
