hi everyone im still pissed we never learnt in school that shakespeare was bi and wrote the sonnets about a dude and a woc he was into
hi everyone im still pissed that we were told emily dickinson was a spinster when she spent her whole life writing love letters to a woman
hi everyone im still pissed about the fact that we never got taught any of the super super gay Greek myths. it seems impossible to think they managed to pick all the hetero myths when Greece was just THAT gay but guess what? they did.
hi everyone virginia woolf was also bi im still pissed that so much of literature is queer and has queer coding within it that deserves to be analysed through that lens in the same way that we don’t ignore the gender of an author, but sexuality is never mentioned in highschool literature classes
history was gayer than we were made to believe
like most things in life

Where are the lesbian sex bars I need to get laid
in all seriousness, there may be a lesbian bar near you. they are kind of dying out so if you’re able to go to one and would like to go to one it might be worth looking into
I also know of generic gay bars on paper that are mostly attended by lesbians in practice.

Oh also I wanna say I really don’t think bi women have the same taste in men as straight women. Like obviously we’re not a monolith and everybody’s got different preferences but I truly believe that the kinds of men bi women are attracted to are generally not the same kinds of men straight women like.
I made a post previously about how bi people are less likely to care about the relative height of their different gender partners because our attraction to multiple genders means we don’t feel as confined to weird hetero standards like how The Man must be taller than The Woman, and I think that lack of gender role conformity governs how we date in a big way. We’re more likely to date men who don’t fit traditional male models: GNC men, men with diverse body types, alternative style men (goths, punks, etc.), men who are quiet and shy, and definitely bi+ men. That’s not to say that straight women don’t also date those kinds of men, but I think bi women are more likely to be open to and in some cases actively seek out men who aren’t the standard picture of masculinity.
As anecdotal evidence, whenever the straight women I work with talk about which male customers they find attractive, I have to invent something that I like about them so I’m not being a total wet blanket. Usually it’s something about their clothes because I’m a GNC woman lol
i’ve seen a few other people point this out but can we just talk about the one thing all the shows fox cancelled had in common? can we just talk about the fact that brooklyn 99, last man on earth, lucifer and the exorcist all had LGBT characters in the MAIN cast. in the case of lucifer, the MALE LEAD was OPENLY bisexual. and they ALL got cancelled at the same time?
yeeaaah…
