Tu B’Av (the 15th of Av) is celebrated as a holiday of love. It does not have many
associated customs. In more modern times it has become similar to
Valentine’s Day, a day for weddings or vows of love.
On a serious note, the IPV/abuse rates that bisexual women face are absolutely not restricted to “anglo-saxons”. Bisexual women of color are even more at risk of facing domestic violence and intimate partner violence, because homophobia and misogyny are racialized when enacted against people of color, especially women of color. There are more bisexual people of color than white bisexual people in the global bisexual community, which obviously means that proportionally, more bisexual victims of abuse/IPV are nonwhite than white. This goes for sexual harassment, stalking, and sexual violence as well. For example, the first bisexual person to ever successfully petition for asylum on the basis of escaping homophobia was Apphia Kumar, a bisexual woman from India. Not only is she a woman of color, but she is literally a nonwestern woman.
It’s very much an issue that bi people of color and bi women of color especially have to deal with, and it’s disgusting that our struggles with violence aren’t recognized by anyone, even by white bisexuals.
I have absolutely no problem with the character or any movie that does not exist for me, but I have always been confused by how attractive other people find Thor.
…he’s goofy and has way too much hair? That’s… cute, but trying to see it as sexual in any way just makes me headtilt.
I’d say it’s proof I’m mostly attracted to women, except for the weird “Thor belongs to the lesbians” thing.
Idk I’m weird.
thor IS a butch lesbian, or more accurately, he’s the Male version of the stereotypical Tumblr butch Lesbian. macho, but harmless, boisterous, but sweet.
…huh.
Maybe I’ve been mislabeling myself?
I love Thor as a character but I’ve never found him attractive. I had a shameless crush on Loki about 6 years ago, which I thought went away until @sinaesthete introduced me to the fem!Loki/Valkyrie ship. Hot damn.
I know everyone’s talking about how the cast of Danny Phantom is full of gay and trans characters exclusively to piss of Butch Hartman but let us not forget, Butch’s bread and butter, Fairly Odd Parents…
Timmy’s parents were 100% sure that Timmy was going to be a girl before he was born, as seen in the episode Secret Origin of Denzel Crocker.
Cosmo seems to be the only other one in the know about this, and has baby pictures of Timmy in a dress on hand
Then, in the episode The Boy Who Would Be Queen…
When Wanda does, inevitably, transform Timmy into a girl to teach him a lesson…
Cosmo immediately panics.
AND in the episode “It’s a Wishful LIfe” when Timmy wishes he never existed…
The Turners have a daughter instead.
In conclusion:
Timmy Turner is trans and used the power of one of his fairy godparents to wish that everyone in his life completely forget that he was born and raised female for a portion of his life, including his parents and his other fairy godparent.
