this is probably an unpopular af opinion, but some of ya’ll “progressive” religious people have a deeply rooted disdain for atheists that extends to those who aren’t white western ex-christian men who use atheism as a cover for bigotry, and it shows in the way you talk about it.

some of y’all genuinely believe atheists are sinners or whatever and you just do the bare minimum to keep that under wraps lol

call me bitter, but i remember this one atrocious text post from years ago on this hellsite that literally said that, because atheists don’t believe in god, they oppose religion, which makes them both antisemitic AND islamophobic by default. and that arguing with them abt this shit means that you’re “erasing” the voices of minorities and like. i don’t even know what to say to that even today that was some galaxy brain level shit before the meme even happened.
