another thing that seems to be lost in the conversation is how folk don’t understand the difference between how people can like how a character is written (being compelling, 3-dimensional, complex) vs actually liking the character as a person–like if the character were real, they’d still like them. i was a big fan of kylo bc I liked how he was written. but obviously if I knew someone like that in real life, someone that violent, i wouldn’t like them at all.
Yeah and same with me and like…most of my faves (though I will say that I’d have mad respect for Annalise in real life and she would probably do a lot of cool things on par with what she did on the show that would make the world better…even if I would never want to be her actual student).
And I appreciate your perspective on Kylo too. It’s hard for me to talk about him sometimes because he’s such a polarizing character.
