VIDEO SHOWS HOW DANCING IN PUBLIC IN THE POLICE STATE IS HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH

Brendan Carter was on his way to see his sick uncle last week when he was detained by multiple security officers in the public RTS bus station in Rochester, subsequently assaulted by police and arrested — all over his dancing.

According to Carter, he was waiting for the bus to visit his uncle who is in the hospital. Apparently overcome by emotion, Carter said he put his headphones in and started dancing to avoid crying. This dancing got the attention of DHS employees and security officers at the station.

Carter had a bus pass and was breaking no law when the officers approached him. As he explained, when he was told to leave for no reason and the officers put hands on him, Carter became angry. However, as seen on the video, he never once became violent.

He was immediately accused of being drunk (which is not a crime, even if he was) and he was told to leave. A scene ensued after the initial confrontation as Carter refused to leave because all he wanted to do was get on the bus to visit his uncle.

Rochester police were quickly dispatched and the already tense situation would only explode from this point.

After he agreed to leave, Carter began walking out of the station. However, the officer was on an apparent mission to intensify the already-delicate situation.

When the officer arrives, instead of talking to the young man to get his side of the story, or letting him leave like he was doing, he immediately escalates to violence by grabbing Carter and then presenting his taser.

Within seconds, Carter is tasered, physically assaulted, slammed to the ground and arrested.

The entire scene was captured on video by NY Black Panther chapter member Daryl Appleberry. Had Appleberry not been there, this scene could have gotten far worse. Perhaps that is why we hear the RTS security officer’s radio go off, “Annie, get this guy out of there with the camera behind you. Get him out of there!”

Carter was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and trespassing. He was in a public space.

We can’t dance in a public places anymore. It’s like we live in the dystopia.

smh

Such charges as resisting arrest and trespassing are the way to put ANY MAN into a jail. Our criminal justice system is a crime.

Grrrrrrrrr!

I dance in public sometimes. No one really bothers me. I wonder if there is some obvious difference between Mr. Carter and me?

In 1968, the AmeriCong announced that a dog would be burned alive in front of University of Pennsylvania’s Van Pelt Library. 2000 people showed up in protest. They were given leaflets.

“Congratulations on your anti-napalm protest. You saved the life of a dog. Now, how about saving the lives of tens of thousands of people in Vietnam.”

So between the white woman who called the cops on a black family having a BBQ in a park, the white man threatening to call ICE in nyc on Latina women for speaking Spanish, and a white woman literally yelling for the cops while screaming “gun!” on a black man for making a u turn in their neighborhood should educate us all that white people are realizing that institutional racism is real but they are using it for their own white supremacist social benefit.

They are calling for the authorities knowing that the cops will take their side and will either arrest or murder people of color for simply being seen or heard.

Public Service Announcement via @the.root #fingersupdontcall

A couple years ago, my mother (who is white) was watching from her window and saw a strange young black man in her driveway. He was crouching down beside her car as if hiding behind it. She didn’t call the police. She just kept an eye on him and waited. After about a minute of coaxing, he pulled a puppy out from under her car, gently tucked the puppy under his arm and walked away while lightly scolding it.

I’m not telling this story because my mom deserves a prize or anything, but to try to relate how terrifying a simple everyday activity can be. If my mother hadn’t been the person she was—and he had no way of knowing that—rescuing a lost wandering puppy could have easily gotten that man killed.

that’s a damn shame

White racism is the epitome of cowardice. The worst damage is done anonymously and under cover. The new hoods are trolling, anonymous police tips, polling against Trump, and then voting for his shitty ass when the booth curtain is closed. The most damage in racism is done by the most pitifully cowardly acts.

They don’t want to be seen as racists, but want to be continue being that digusting bigot when they won’t be seen and shamed in the act.

She said possibly a weapon, a large tool which means she had a “visual.”  This person that called the police should be brought up on charges for endangering peoples lives.

Disgusting behaviour on the part of the person calling the police and of the cops themselves. What gets me is that these (white) people are willing to invest so much energy, time and effort into…hate. What is wrong with them? 🤔😡

Copwatch of East Atlanta says in a video that police lied about arrests at a neo-Nazi rally, including what happened to their cameraman

By John Barker, Patch Staff | Apr 26, 2018

NEWNAN, GA – A group that says its mission is to protect communities from police abuse is calling police liars for the official description of people taken into custody facing down neo-Nazis last weekend. Ten arrests were made at the neo-Nazi rally held in Newnanon Saturday. Those arrested were there to shout down the white supremacists and were mostly arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of prohibited items such as masks, fireworks, smoke grenades, various types of insect spray, bottles inscribed with the terms “shake and law” and a shield with outfacing screws, according to a statement made by the City of Newnan.

On Wednesday, Copwatch of East Atlanta said their teams directly observed the protest, and what they documented is far different from the story the police have told.

Here is what Copwatch of East Atlanta says about what happened at the white supremacist rally at Greenville Street Park on Saturday:

  • Police claim that activists were arrested for wearing masks, but the group has video it says shows several of those charged with “wearing a mask” were completely unmasked.
  • Police claim that activists were blocking the street, but Copwatch documentation shows activists repeatedly pulled off the sidewalk into the street and then arrested.
  • Police claim that activists were blocking the street, but Copwatch video shows activists repeatedly pulled off the sidewalk into the street and then arrested.
  • Several of the arrests were unfounded and police were forced to release the activists that same day without charge.

Patch has contacted authorities seeking comment on the allegations by Copwatch, and will update this story with any reply.

According to Copwatch of East Atlanta, their cameraman was purposefully targeted for recording the event.

“Especially concerning was the violent arrest of one of our camera people, Andrew,” reads the Copwatch website. “He was at the protest not as a participant but as a legal observer, documenting police activity. He was clearly marked as an observer, and was careful to break no laws.

“Unfortunately, Newnan police seemed uncomfortable with being recorded, because they specifically targeted Andrew for arrest,” continues the post. “Without warning, they dragged him off the sidewalk and threw him forcefully to the pavement, injuring him. He was held in handcuffs and his backpack and camera were illegally searched. Once the protesters had left the area, he was released without charge. This hostility towards freedom of the press and transparency should be very troubling.”

Copwatch also questioned what the police said the anti-neo-Nazi protestors were carrying.

“… Similarly, claims about supposed dangerous contraband are questionable. Police have presented a bottle containing "liquid antacid and water” or “LAW” as evidence of malicious intent, but “LAW” is a harmless home remedy. It’s unclear why items like this were enough to convince officers that their lives were in danger.

“It’s always common to find a few discrepancies between official reports and our documentation on the ground, and it’s common for officers to occasionally make mistakes in enforcing the law. However in this case we see a pattern of false and misleading statements made by police representatives, and we documented many unjustified arrests, all similar. We believe this clearly shows that the police engaged in a deliberate campaign to suppress anti-racist protests in Newnan.”

Reminder: Emmett Till was killed in 1955

Despite what white people of today want to believe, it was NOT that long ago. At all.

The War on Drugs, mass incarceration, the MOVE bombing, COINTELPRO, Rodney King being beaten, Sandra Bland’s death, Michael Brown’s death, Trayvon Martin’s death etc. etc. etc. also happened in the green area too. I’d say making it green is a misnomer.
