Terfs and transmisogynists act like they’re treading some untrodden political radicalism when they reveal their politics from the shadows but the truth is you sound exactly like a homophobic Christian conservative and your “truth” actually is quite mainstream thought about trans people so nothing you’re saying is either revolutionary or new. I feel like people who find themselves in these ideologies might as well just say: “I’ve given up examining my thoughts critically and will now endlessly gratify myself in a validation feedback loop from people who have also decided to exchange critical thinking for blaming trans women for all the social ills of the world.”
Literally just take a scroll through the notes if you don’t believe me. Half of the people liking and reblogging have “rad” in their name, or have other very obvious names like “ragingvulvasaur”.
As well as TERFs you might recognize individually if you’re trans and have been on this site for longer than 5 minutes, like kittyit, rad-monika, womyn-are-rad, etc.

Y’know, this whole shit that TERFs pull by making “receipt blogs” and “masterposts” of everything from the perceived wrongs of or crimes by trans people (especially trans women) remind me, as a Jew, of other particular ideologies that supported the listing and publication of crimes by members of a marginalized group as means to discredit and vie for the mistreatment of said group.
this is being brought back by angry TERFS an honest to goodness year after I wrote this, so reminder that people from every group act wrongly and using this to discredit a particular group/as an argument for their continued oppression is a rather familiar tactic.
So there was some drama and anti-trans violence at the San Francisco Dyke March when a group of TERFs showed up and decided to demonstrate that they don’t know how to behave, and then (as is the wont of boneheads of every stripe) tried to make theirselves look like the victims after the fact.

Out on these mean streets, it’s easy to forget that TERFs are actually a pretty small group of people. And thinking that TERF = lesbian is exactly how TERFs want us to think; everybody hates them, and the lesbians are, have been, and shall remain absolutely wonderful people. Go buy a lesbian a pizza in these last few hours of Pride month.
