So there was some drama and anti-trans violence at the San Francisco Dyke March when a group of TERFs showed up and decided to demonstrate that they don’t know how to behave, and then (as is the wont of boneheads of every stripe) tried to make theirselves look like the victims after the fact.
This here is an official statement from SF Dyke March:
And I love ????? so much ?????
Out on these mean streets, it’s easy to forget that TERFs are actually a pretty small group of people. And thinking that TERF = lesbian is exactly how TERFs want us to think; everybody hates them, and the lesbians are, have been, and shall remain absolutely wonderful people. Go buy a lesbian a pizza in these last few hours of Pride month.
let’s take a moment to appreciate how goth culture has allowed many closeted trans ppl the opportunity to wear jewelry, makeup, and nail polish, under less scrutiny from the cishet world
or, conversely– combat boots, waistcoats, oxford shoes, ties, stud belts, wallet chains, and other “traditionally masculine” accessories
text in the image: a tweet by @JulianKJarboe on twitter: “God blessed me by making me transsexual for the same reason he made wheat but not bread and fruit but not wine: because he wants humanity to share in the act of creation. I am only doing the Good Works here on Earth as intended!”
What a beautiful gift it is to be trans and/or nonbinary! God invites all of us to be co-creators. None of us come forth from the womb fully formed – we are all called to grow, to transform, to become. Those of us who are trans/nonbinary get to do that in a unique way.
